Gallagher is a privately held New Zealand company that designs and manufactures its access control, intruder alarm and perimeter security hardware in-house. Its Command Centre software gives operators a single platform to manage cardholders, doors, alarms and integrations, and the company's systems are used by government, defence and commercial organisations in around 140 countries.

In Australia, Gallagher's Type 1a solution is SCEC-approved and built to meet the alarm standard required on Australian Government sites — which is why it's Securcom's platform of choice for high-security and enterprise-scale deployments.

Integriti is Inner Range's enterprise access control and intruder detection platform, developed by the Australian manufacturer over more than 35 years and installed in upwards of 150,000 systems worldwide. It's built around a single System Designer interface, scaling from single-site installations up to large multi-campus estates, with several hundred third-party integrations available.

We specify Integriti where a client wants strong local support, a perpetual software licence rather than an annual fee model, and solid intruder detection built into the same platform as access control.

The Tecom Challenger platform is a modular alarm and access control panel with a long track record in the Australian market, used across universities, financial institutions, retail chains and correctional facilities. Its "add as you go" design lets a system expand — additional doors, inputs and memory — without replacing the core panel.

Securcom supports and installs Challenger for clients who already run Tecom infrastructure, or where its distributed-intelligence design and long field history suit the site.

Avigilon builds both cameras and video management software, now operating as part of Motorola Solutions since its 2018 acquisition. Its self-learning video analytics — including Appearance Search, which locates a person or vehicle across recorded footage from a description — are designed to reduce time spent scrubbing through raw video during an investigation.

Avigilon's tight integration with Gallagher Command Centre is a major reason it's our default video platform: access events and camera footage sit in one operator view rather than two separate systems.

Genetec is a Montreal-based company whose Security Center platform unifies video, access control and automatic licence plate recognition in one interface rather than bolting separate systems together. It's built to scale across large, multi-site estates, with centralised monitoring and cardholder synchronisation across locations via Genetec Federation.

We specify Genetec on larger enterprise and government projects where a client wants one unified security record — video, access and ANPR events cross-referenced automatically — rather than three separate systems that happen to sit side by side.

Milestone Systems pioneered the open-platform VMS category in 2002, and XProtect remains one of the most widely deployed video management systems worldwide, supporting cameras from well over a hundred manufacturers. That openness matters when a client has existing camera infrastructure they want to keep, or wants the flexibility to mix hardware vendors over the life of the system.

We deploy Milestone where camera-hardware independence is the priority — sites that don't want to be locked into one manufacturer's ecosystem for the next camera refresh.

Axis Communications invented the network camera in 1996 and remains a reference point for IP camera engineering — now operating as an independent Canon subsidiary. Its range covers fixed, PTZ, thermal and specialised cameras, with on-camera analytics running on Axis's own ARTPEC chipset rather than requiring a separate analytics server.

We specify Axis where long-term firmware support and camera-hardware longevity matter — its cameras typically carry 8-10 years of update support, which suits sites planning for a long refresh cycle.

Hanwha Vision (formerly Samsung Techwin) manufactures the Wisenet camera range, with recent generations built around Hanwha's own AI-native chipset for on-edge analytics such as loitering, tailgating and sound classification. The range spans entry-level through to high-resolution multisensor cameras, giving strong coverage across a wide project budget range.

We deploy Hanwha where a project needs strong image quality and AI detection across a large camera count without the cost of a premium-tier camera on every single point.

Octave is the physical security business spun out of Hexagon, and its Coda Video platform (formerly known as HxGN dC3 Video, and before that Qognify) is an enterprise VMS built around an open architecture — integrating with access control, intrusion and PSIM systems rather than operating as a closed ecosystem. It's designed for large-scale deployments where low total cost of ownership and centralised management of thousands of cameras across distributed sites matters.

Jacques is an Australian manufacturer that has designed and built intercom and public address systems since 1980, originally for the corrections market and now across healthcare, education, commercial and residential sites. Every product is designed and manufactured in Australia, which gives Securcom direct access to local technical support and a company that understands Australian compliance requirements.

Jacques integrates natively with Gallagher and Integriti — door release, CCTV snapshot on call, and cardholder-aware call routing — which is why it's our default intercom platform on projects already running Gallagher access control.

Commend is an Austrian manufacturer with more than 50 years in intercom and communication technology, built around a network of roughly 550 staff worldwide. Its systems are used in demanding environments — tunnels, industrial sites, correctional facilities and maritime applications — where reliability under harsh conditions and continuous self-monitoring of speakers and microphones matter.

We specify Commend as an alternative to Jacques where a project has specific industrial-grade or high-security communication requirements, or where a client already runs Commend elsewhere in their portfolio.

HID Global has manufactured access control credentials since 1991 and is now part of the ASSA ABLOY group, supplying readers and cards used across the physical security industry worldwide. Its iCLASS SE and Seos platforms support encrypted smart card and mobile credentials, with backward compatibility for organisations migrating off older 125kHz proximity cards.

We deploy HID readers and credentials alongside Gallagher's own T-Series readers and Inner Range's native SIFER readers — selecting whichever best matches the platform, security classification and any mobile-credential requirements on a given site.
