Twenty-five years of doing it properly.
Securcom has been designing and installing electronic security systems across Queensland, New South Wales and the ACT since 2000. Same rigour. Same standards. Better technology.
Security engineering, not just installation.
Securcom was founded in Brisbane in 2000 with a simple premise: that security systems should be engineered properly — designed from first principles, installed to a standard, and maintained by the people who put them in.
Twenty-five years later, that premise hasn't changed. We operate across multiple Queensland offices and maintain offices in New South Wales and Canberra, delivering the same standard of work regardless of location. Our own licensed technicians carry out every installation — no unsupervised subcontracting, no handoffs. Our clients include Queensland and federal government agencies, commercial building owners, financial institutions, industrial operators and healthcare providers.
We're an ASIAL member, licensed in Queensland, New South Wales and the ACT, and hold national licences for Type 1a and Class 5 security systems. We hold current integrator certifications from Gallagher, Avigilon, Inner Range, Jacques and Interlogix.
How we think about security work.
Engineered, not assembled
Every system we design starts from a site survey and a blank sheet — load calculations, zone maps, cable schedules. We don't apply templates.
In-house only
Our installations are done by our own licensed technicians. No unsupervised subcontractors, no handoffs, no scope gaps.
Long-term relationships
We maintain most of what we install. That accountability shapes how we design — we have to live with every decision we make on site.
Vendor depth over breadth
We go deep on the platforms we know best — Gallagher, Avigilon, Integriti, Jacques — rather than reselling everything superficially.
Documentation as standard
Cable schedules, PoE budgets, as-built drawings and service reports come with every project. Not as an extra — as part of the job.
Honest scoping
We tell clients what they need — not what maximises the quote. If a simpler solution is the right one, that's what we recommend.
Twenty-five years in Queensland security.
Founded in Brisbane
Securcom established in Brisbane with a focus on commercial access control and alarm systems for the Queensland market.
CCTV practice established
Expanded into CCTV installation as IP camera technology began displacing analogue systems in the commercial market.
Gallagher certification
Became a certified Gallagher integrator, enabling deployment on larger government and commercial projects requiring enterprise-grade access control.
NSW licence obtained
Expanded operations into New South Wales, extending Securcom's footprint to cover the full east coast corridor.
Avigilon partnership
Achieved Avigilon certified integrator status, adding AI-analytics CCTV capability to the Securcom service offering.
Networking practice formalised
Established a dedicated security networking discipline — PoE infrastructure, fibre and structured cabling — to address the growing infrastructure demands of IP-based security systems.
ACT licence obtained
Obtained ACT security licence to support clients with national presences requiring consistent delivery across jurisdictions.
25 years in operation
Securcom marks 25 years of continuous operation from Brisbane, with the same commitment to engineering-led security system delivery.
How every project runs.
The same four steps, every time — regardless of site size or scope.
Site assessment
We walk the site with your facilities or security manager, map risk areas, count device points and capture the infrastructure constraints that will shape the design.
Design and specification
We produce a full design package — device layout, cable schedule, PoE budget, equipment schedule and specification. No ambiguity at install time.
Install and commission
Our own licensed technicians carry out the installation. On completion, every device is tested, every integration point is verified, and commissioning documentation is produced.
Handover and ongoing support
We train your team, hand over all documentation and establish a maintenance agreement. You're never left with a system no one understands.
