What is a Type 1a security system?

Type 1a is the highest classification of access control system, built to the alarm standard required on Australian Government sites. Gallagher's Type 1a solution is SCEC-approved, and Securcom holds a national Type 1a Security System Licence to design and install it.

What is a Class 5 alarm system?

Class 5 is the highest classification of intrusion alarm system under Australian standards, used on government and high-risk commercial sites. Securcom holds a national Class 5 Alarm System Licence.

Which access control, CCTV and intercom platforms does Securcom work with?

Does Securcom subcontract installation work?

No. Every installation is carried out by our own in-house licensed technicians — no unsupervised subcontractors and no handoffs between design, install and maintenance.

What maintenance response times can I expect?

Under our Standard and Premium maintenance plans, critical faults that leave a site unsecured are attended within 4 hours (Standard) or 2 hours (Premium). High-priority faults are attended the next business day, and routine requests within 5 business days. See maintenance plans →

Does Securcom offer 24/7 alarm monitoring?

Yes. Securcom's back-to-base monitoring service provides 24/7/365 alarm monitoring through a Grade A1 monitoring centre, with keyholder escalation, patrol dispatch and emergency services notification per your response matrix.

Is Securcom licensed to work on government and high-security sites?
